Inspired Women Luncheon Recap

Organized by the Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce Women's Alliance, the Inspired Women Luncheon is the largest and most lovely event of its kind in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Green Apple Lane was proud to sponsor, as the graphic design sponsor for the sixth year, while the fabulous Live! by Loews Arlington hotel served as the new venue in 2019. Everything was top-notch, from the food, to the service, ambiance, and decor.

The theme of this year’s event was, “Finding Your Passion and Purpose.” Those sentiments were woven throughout the programming and details of the day, from the professional development session, to the especially moving keynote address from the esteemed Thasunda Brown Duckett, CEO of Consumer Banking at Chase. Her message of balancing life like a diversified financial portfolio versus the standard “work-life balance” challenge we all face, was powerful. “When she saw her life as a balancing act, she felt like she was consistently failing at being a mother, executive, and philanthropist. Now, she views her life as a diversified portfolio that is made up of her passions,” says the Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce. “She urges everyone to create their portfolio by first writing down everything that matters to them. The structure of her portfolio changes depending on the demands of her office or family. However, she knows which portfolio structure will bring her the most joy.”
